The international ensemble comprising four composers, seven musicians, a sound engineer and two video artists was inspired by the concept of change when composing “Landscape”. In this audio-visual concert based in shifting perspective the musicians conducted by the young Vienna-based Hungarian composer and conductor Csaba Ajtony constantly change their positions, while different parts of the human body processed visually on different spatial planes are projected on a giant screen in the background. The evening focuses on young composers from Central Eastern Europe who examine a few characteristic concepts of the paradigm changes of the 20th century in their compositions.

See Siang Wong, born in the Netherlands, now living and teaching in Zurich, became acquainted with contemporary music very early and, despite his youth, he is one of the most sought after pianists in the international contemporary music world. Among others, he has worked with Pierre Boulez, Wolfgang Rihm and James Dillon, but he is also at home in the classical repertoire as testified by the unanimously positive reception of his two latest recordings: his Chopin and Debussy CDs released by a major label have been enormously successful world-wide.
Practically all the pieces in this concert of the Autumn Festival are being performed in Hungary for the first time. Siang Wong gave the first performance last November of the set of six piano pieces by the Swiss composer Rudolf Kelterborn [1931] [the composer wrote two of the pieces specifically for him].
