The first EDIT2005 1st International Dance Film Festival held last year was a great success. The event focused on the connection between dance and film, the way they influence each other and the great variety of joint work done by creative artists. This year too a selection of quality films will be shown. The programme includes adaptations of dances for film, choreographies created principally for film, and experimental works exploring the relationship and meaning of movement, space and time. The creators represent the contemporary art of many countries, from Japan to Argentina, from Canada to China. Besides the work of less well known authors, EDIT 2006 will also present a retrospective selection of the work of two highly influential dance studios with major works from Rosas [Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s company] and the DV8 Physical Theatre of Britain.
Co-organized with Workshop Foundation.
