In the space of a week Budapest can catch up with the best of current Russian cinema. Beside a bunch of short films, nine feature-length films by leading representatives of the latest generation of Russian directors who break with conventions, shatter taboos and renew genres, will also be screened.

In the period of paranoia before his death Stalin had doctors of Jewish origin tried on trumped up charges in the so-called “doctor trials”. The film’s doctor-general Glinsky is one of the victims. The KGB sets a trap for him and then deports him in secret. A new approach to Stalin’s madness.
