] It is not for the first and presumably not for the last time that Gallery 2B stages an exhibition with gypsy implications. The works at this year’s show are all by Hungarian gypsy and non-gypsy artists, however, the goal remains the same. To look into the issues – in the field of aesthetics rather than politics – that are general talking points regarding gypsies.
Open until 8 November 2008.
Open >
Monday – Fiday between 4–6 pm, and weekends between 10 am –2 pm.

György Árvai, the most original Hungarian stage designer also known as an experimental theatre director and musician, brings to the stage much more than just visual design: his clay models are a great deal more important for him than the stage set they are turned into. In fact he cherishes quite a few models that have never begun their life on stage. Some of these will be there at the exhibition together with others that have been put on stage. All are works of art.

Breakfast and talk with Hermann Nitsch

Hermann Nitsch is one of the most complex and controversial personalities in contemporary fine arts. In Hungary, most people will remember him for his scandal of an exhibition of the appurtenances of a six day orgy of a play that blew the fuse in Budapest.
The exhibition entitled The Shirt of the Painter offers a representative cross-section of an extraordinary lifework in which it is sometimes difficult to distinguish the creator from his work.
